South Holland and the Deepings MP Sir John Hayes joined Holbeach residents at a street party over the early May bank holiday weekend to celebrate the 80th anniversary of V.E. Day.
Sir John Hayes said “It was wonderful to celebrate with people young and old, and these street parties are a great example of the community coming together on such an important occasion.
“As the country marks the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, it’s a unique opportunity to thank and remember all those who gave so much for our country and our freedom, and to honour the veterans who returned home and those who didn't.”
